Merry Christmas!

I’d would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to each and everyone of you that have supported my small photography business in 2024.

There have been so many milestones, including the recent celebration of 15 years in business.

On a personal note, my three children have now all finished school, and we are celebrating with a family holiday to Europe this winter. It’s a very special time for us – and yes, I have my camera with me! I love travel photography and I look forward to sharing my images with you on my website in the new year.

Till then, be sure to enjoy your family and friends this festive season. It’s an incredible time of year to celebrate each day and be grateful for what we’ve achieved.

Tips For Capturing Christmas Memories

The festive season is here, and it’s the perfect time to capture the joy, laughter, and togetherness with your smartphone or a camera.

Here are some quick tips to make your holiday photos truly magical:

Charge Up and Be Ready

Make sure all your devices are fully charged—smartphones, cameras, and even your portable battery packs! There’s nothing more exciting than capturing every smile, giggle, and sparkly moment without interruptions.

Check Your Memory Space

Ensure your memory cards (or phone storage) are ready for action. More space means more room for unforgettable memories!

A Clear View Makes All the Difference

A quick wipe of your camera or smartphone lens with a microfibre cloth can make your photos crisp and clear. It’s a small step that makes a big difference!

Get Everyone Together

Take a moment to gather the family for a few special group shots. These are the photos that will warm your heart for years to come.

Candid and Posed: Best of Both Worlds

Balance the posed photos with candid ones to capture the true essence of the day. Those spontaneous moments often hold the most magic.

Focus on the Details

Don’t forget the little touches that make your celebrations unique—like Aunt Cathy’s legendary Christmas cake or the kids decorating the tree. These details tell the full story of your holiday.

Enjoy the Moment

Above all, have fun! Let your photos reflect the joy and laughter of the season, creating memories you’ll treasure forever.

With these tips, your Christmas album will be as vibrant and heartwarming as the season itself.

Happy Snapping!

2024 Sponsors and Community Involvement

It’s been a pleasure and honour to be involved in the community this year, as both a sponsor, supporter and advocate. I have always felt the need to volunteer in the community and to ‘make a difference’ one day at a time. This year, I’ve had a number of opportunities to ‘give back’ and through supporting sporting associations, donating time and imagery to social and business communities, and sharing my lived experience in my new role as an advocate with Dementia Australia.

Business Spotlight: Sign Hear

Six years ago, Sharon Xabregas took a courageous leap, leaving behind a workplace where she faced bullying and discrimination to establish Sign Hear—a business dedicated to supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities.

Her determination and vision have now been recognised with the title of Business Person of the Year at the 2024 Sutherland Shire Local Business Awards.

This incredible achievement reflects Sharon’s commitment to bridging the gap between Deaf and hearing communities through services like Auslan training, interpreting, advocacy, and employment support.

Congratulations, Sharon, on this well-deserved recognition and for inspiring others to dream big and pursue their passions!

Merry Christmas

Christmas is filled with traditions, and I love this tradition that we’ve continued with Sharon, Sign Hear. This year, we dressed up and had some fun at our recent ‘Headshot Day’ at The Studio Sydney Group. It’s always a wonderful time to celebrate with friends and take time out for creating precious moments.

As I continue our family travels through Europe, while working along the way, I’d like to take a personal moment to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
