Events, Celebrations & Milestones

It’s been a busy and exciting few months for the Sophie B Photography team, working with an incredible mix of clients across Australia. Recent highlights include photographing Lloyd Edge in Sydney, Showcase Jewellery at Hyatt Regency, the PRICM12 Conference on the Gold Coast, and the 2026 Alteris Financial Group private viewing of the Archibald Prize—each bringing its own people, moments and stories to life.

Sophie B Photography recently had the pleasure of capturing the launch of Lloyd Edge’s new book, Set for Life, at Dymocks Sydney on George Street.

Hosted by Sylvia Jeffreys, it was a wonderful evening celebrating Lloyd’s latest achievement and the people who helped bring the book to life.

Sophie B Photography recently had the pleasure of capturing the 2026 Alteris Financial Group private viewing of the Archibald Prize event at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

Surrounded by some of Australia’s most celebrated artworks, it was a memorable evening filled with creativity, conversation and connection.

Bringing together leading researchers, scientists and industry professionals from around the world, the five-day conference was filled with innovation, collaboration and valuable networking opportunities.

Facial-recognition software also gave attendees immediate access to their own event photographs, allowing them to view and share their favourite moments throughout the conference.

Sophie B Photography recently had the pleasure of capturing the Showcase Jewellers Awards in Sydney—a sparkling celebration of Australia and New Zealand’s independent jewellery community.

The evening recognised outstanding talent, craftsmanship and achievement, bringing members together to celebrate the very best of the industry.

Sophie's Headshot Guide

A great professional headshot should feel like you…confident, approachable and ready to connect with the people you want to work with. The good news? We will show you how to pose or feel completely comfortable in front of the camera; that’s our job!

1. Think About Where You’ll Use Your Headshot

Will it appear on LinkedIn, your website, speaking profiles or marketing materials? Knowing where your images will be used helps us create the right mix of expressions, poses and framing.

2. Dress Like You’re Meeting Your Ideal Client

Choose an outfit that feels professional, comfortable and genuinely reflects your personality. Simple colours and subtle patterns photograph beautifully, while very busy prints, large logos and uncomfortable clothing can become distracting.

3. Keep Hair, Makeup and Accessories Authentic

Aim for a polished version of how you normally present yourself rather than trying something completely new on the day. Keep jewellery and accessories simple unless bold pieces are part of your personal brand.

4. Bring a Few Essentials

Pack a hairbrush or comb, powder for shine, lipstick or lip balm, and anything else you might need for a quick touch-up. If your package allows time for variety, bring an additional jacket, top or accessory to create a slightly different look.

5. We’ve Got You

We’ll guide you through your posture, positioning and expressions so you feel relaxed and look natural, confident and professional.

Your headshot is about creating an image that helps the right people recognise, remember and connect with you.

From headshots, gala dinners and expos to conferences and corporate celebrations, the Sophie B Photography team loves capturing the people, atmosphere and moments that make every occasion unique. If you’re planning an upcoming event, now is the perfect time to secure your photography and videography coverage, we’d love to help bring your story to life!

Brining You More Each Month

We’re turning things up a notch and moving to a monthly newsletter! More events, more behind-the-scenes moments, more recent work, and more stories from the people and brands we’re lucky enough to capture along the way. Thanks for being here – we’re excited to share more with you each month.
